Is It October Already?

By Daniel Strickland on October 25, 2012.

Where did the offseason go?

One minute we were crying in our beer after watching the Oklahoma City Thunder beat our Spurs in four straight playoff games.

The next, we were watching Manu (Argentina), Tiago (Brazil), Tony, Boris and Nando (France) play in the London Olympics. (Way to bring home the Gold, Dream Team 2012!)

And now, here we are, in the midst of the World Series, seven weeks into the NFL season and just five days away from the tipoff of the 2012-2013 NBA season.

This season will represent a changing of the guard for our San Antonio Spurs, a process that really began two years ago as Tim’s minutes were gradually decreased from 30+ minutes per game to around 28. That trend will continue this year.

As the Tim Duncan era winds down, it’s apparent that the success of this team now rests firmly on the shoulders of Tony Parker and young guns Kawhi Leonard, Danny Green and, perhaps, Patty Mills.

We’ve got big plans for the site this year. I hope you’ll visit frequently and tell your friends. And if you’re not doing so already, follow us on Facebook and Twitter.

We hope you’re as excited about this season as we are. It’s going to be another thrilling ride.

Go Spurs Go!
