“Dance with the one that brung you” was a favorite expression of University of Texas football coach Darrell Royal. Unfortunately, not all the dancers who ‘brung’ the Spurs to finishing #1 in the Southwest Division, #2 in the Western Conference and #3 in the NBA are still dancing. Manu Ginobili has missed the last nine games with a strained hamstring. (Hopefully, he’ll be back in action tonight.) Stephen Jackson was…
Ok, I’ll admit it. This is a shameless attempt at using sex to attract visitors to the site. What I want to know is, who is Don Chavez and where did he get these pictures of our Silver Spurs dancers?
Sorry, my headline is intentionally misleading. I was just checking out the NBA dancers in the 2009 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue and was disappointed to discover that the spread doesn’t include a single Silver Spur. Don’t get me wrong, these girls are hot, but our girls are way hotter than any of these ten. Something else caught my eye and that was a Subway promotion featuring Tony Parker. See it…
Two thousand and seven was a great year for the San Antonio Spurs as well as our humble website. At long last, here are the Top Ten Most Read Posts of 2007 chosen by you, our loyal reader. Game 16: Spurs 109, Wizards 94 Greetings to all my peeps around the world. Yesterday I got a chance to experience something altogether new, a real life NBA game not involving our San Antonio Spurs. Manolis and I took in a contest between my second and third favorite clubs, the Houston Rockets and our hometown Warriors. The verdict from the cheap seats? I’m not nearly as much of a fan…
Greetings from San Diego once again, ladies and germs. It has been nearly a week since I posted, as I have been quite preoccupied in the interim. Here’s a blow-by-blow account of my past week, as near as I care to remember… Friday March 30th: Well this day started off slow enough. I finished off my Nooch blog, and Manolis came over so that we could see the cinematic masterpiece…
Last year saw dramatic increases in the number of unique visitors and pages viewed here at SpursDynasty. There were approximately 20,000 visitors to the site and nearly 35,000 pages viewed in 2006. If January is any indicator, we look to double that in 2007. As was the case in 2005, Bramlet Abercrombie dominates the year in review, with seven out of the 10 top posts in 2006*. Interestingly enough, our…
Information about this year’s Spurs Silver Dancers can be found here. I’ve seen quite a few people disparage our Silver Dancers as having a low drool factor, but I think they’re pretty delectable myself. And I’m sure they’re all intelligent, interesting individuals and most certainly not sex objects.
